Bray Dunes, Plage Est.

As so many times, just go the boulevard at the seaside and then north. At the end of the boulevard near the flats, you can park easily and start walking into the dunes.
From here you first see Stp. Adolf and further on the beach is Stp. von Manstein and in the hinterland are even more French bunkers, see the text later in this sheet.

Bray Dunes, Les Goélettes.

Between the D601, the road along the canal and the village Bray Dunes, on the Rue Pierre Decock is an old farmhouse with some small Wellblech bunkers in the meadow and one against the farmhouse.

Around Bay Drunes the Maginot Line and the Atlanticwall are mixing together, so we have separated the objects remaining from the Maginot Line in the following blocks:

When you start at Stp. Adolf and walk over the beach north to the Belgian border, you will find laying along the beach the following French Maginot Line bunkers.

Bray Dunes, Les Dunes.
Ligne Maginot, Region Fortifiée Lille, Secteur Fortifiée des Flandres, Zone des Dunes.

At the north-east side of the village Bray Dunes lays a dune area, closed in between the sea side, Belgium border and the road Rue Albert 1e from the border into the direction of Bray Dunes.
In this area are still remaining several bunkers from the French Maginot Line and therefore are "looking" towards the sea and Belgium. It's a difficult terrain to explore and not all the place a free to enter. We only have a few bunkers on pictures but there are about 30 pices to find.

In the village of Bray Dunes on the north east side, there are also some dunes and on one of them Stp. Aster is located. Nowadays there is a big monument on it. Drive over the Avenue Charles Wallyn and then enter the dead-end street Rue des Sables, park and walk up the hill.
